The Innermost Side is about the search for the essence in artistry. The Dutch pianist Camiel Boomsma speaks with 5 artists: composer Joey Roukens, director Ola Mafalaani, violist Dana Zemtsov, painter Steven Aalders and painter/pianist Ana Perez Ventura. What inspires them. Why this specific art form? Art is the process and the process is art.

Greymatter was established in 2011 out of the remnants of an old storage room. It is an artist-run space operated by Rachel Quirk and Zina Mussmann who recognize that artists are a driving force in culture. They believe in the power of artists to build new institutions through the power of collaboration. Their goal is to be a part of this dialogue by working with local and national artists in organizing diverse and thought provoking exhibitions. In 2017, it closed its doors and is now operating as an artist studio.
